HOLLY COTTAGE ACCOMMODATION
Holly Cottage is ideal for a family of four, the second double bedroom, with (adult sized bunk beds) being more suitable for children. A sofa bed in the living room is available for occasional use for two more. Downstairs is an open living/dining room with a cosy wood burning stove, video recorder, digital Freeview TV & radio, DVD, books, games, local maps and guides and a selection of popular films on video, CDs and audio tapes. We have a wireless network for Broadband/Internet connection, which you may access with a wi-fi aerial on your laptop. This leads into a furnished south-west facing conservatory, opening into a totally enclosed large patio garden for barbecue, outdoor dining or reclining. From the patio there is access to a large lawn. A ring binder has details of over 60 places to visit.
The conservatory is popular as a second living room, receiving sun from breakfast to sunset, its double glazing and radiators giving winter warmth. French doors open out to the patio, equipped with table & chairs for outdoor meals, lounging chairs and a barbeque; access also to a large lawn.
The murmur of the Wellow Brook close by provides a relaxing backdrop. The stream is clean and safe for children’s paddling.

The newly-fitted kitchen has a clothes washing machine, microwave, fridge/freezer and electric cooker. The shower room and toilet are on the ground floor.
The sleeping accommodation upstairs provides two double bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom boasts a luxurious new king-sized bed with "Hypnos" mattresses (75" x 60") which can be divided into twin beds; the second bedroom is smaller with bunk beds (75" x 31"). A comfortable sofa bed in the living room is available for occasional use, which can sleep a further two persons (75" x 54"). A baby's cot is also available on request, and a child gate can be fitted to stairs. An extra folding bed is also available. Oil central heating throughout.

Because the cost of oil is escalating, we shall charge guests at the end of their stay for excess oil used and electricity used. The weekly rental covers the cost of £10.00 value for oil and £10.00 for electricity, which is seldom exceeded. It seems to us fairer to do this rather than increase the rental rate.

The renovation, the facilities and the authentic cottage ambience are of high quality.

THE HOLLIES GARDEN APARTMENT ACCOMMODATION
 

This is a newly renovated self-catering maisonette on the other side of the ¾ acre property to Holly Cottage. It is ideal for two people (it has been called “a love-nest for two”), but a comfortable sofa-bed in the living room can accommodate two more for occasional use. Popular for short breaks. (See the Tariff page).

The Garden Apartment has a similar idyllic setting to Holly Cottage – by the stream, at the edge of the unspoilt the garden and off-road parking space for one car. Owing to the steep garden, only children six and over may be accommodated.

You enter at the first floor level from the garden at the back of the house. The main room is open plan, divided between a compact kitchen and a sunny living room. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric hob, combined microwave/oven/grill and fridge/freezer and a washing machine.
The living room has a dining area, and is well furnished with double sofa and easy chairs and a writing desk. TV, video, digital Freeview TV & radio, DVD and CD players, with an assortment of CDs, books and guidebooks. There is a ring binder containing over 60 Places to Visit. A wireless connection is provided for Broadband/Internet access.
Upstairs is a cosy bedroom with comfortable double bed. A spacious shower room completes the facilities. Oil-fired central heating throughout.
