Few places have left such a lasting impression on us. The countryside is magnificent - the gurgling of the stream is so rejuvenating and calming.
The peace, tranquillity and beauty of the surrounding countryside is something we shall long remember and cherish.
It's nice to be so close to Bath - in the middle of the countryside. We enjoyed the historic houses, gardens, and Bath, of course. The Garden Studio is so well equipped and pleasant to stay in....a home away from home.
The perfect retreat! The location is fantastic and the beautiful Studio has everyting we could possibly need.
Lovely
holiday in Wellow Cottage - very comfortable accommodation; loved
the sunny conservatory. A very enjoyable holiday. Alick & Mari
made us feel very welcome and helped us settle in very quickly.
Suggest families try out pony trekking in Wellow, swimming at
the Bath Leisure Centre and a day at Longleat (buying a passport
is a good idea). Cosy cottage - and the children enjoyed
seeing the cows, chasing cats and watching the stream. Lovely, relaxing holiday at Holly Cottage.
We loved the comfort, friendly cats and owners. Morning breakfasts
and enjoying barbeques on the patio - super. Treat yourself to
tea in the Pump Room! Do we really need to go home? Prettiest and best-equipped house we have
ever rented. Cats were a delight. Mari and Alick are helpful and
interesting people, and wonderful with our children. Sorry to
be going home. How lucky we were to find sun, and an enchanting
and so very well equipped cottage in such a beautiful and peaceful
setting. Thank you for a very memorable week! Holly Cottage has obviously been a labour
of love for Alick and Mari. From the moment we arrived we knew
in an instant, it was 'right'. Finishing touches are everywhere,
from the window crystal flashing little spectrums of light around
the hearth, to such a well-equipped kitchen and excellent garlic
crusher. Our week has been 'peace on Earth' in such a troubled
world. We've had a very relaxing holiday. We certainly
picked the right cottage to stay in. Extremely comfortable (especially
the bed!). Enjoyed doing local walks. I wish we could stay for
another week.
The cottage is lovely and one of the best equipped holiday homes
we've stayed in. Lovely fire, lovely conservatory, and flowers
in every room. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
A "magic" cottage. Coming back
for a longer stay. A great place for human being - and plenty for human doing. Away from home, but coming home to Holly Cottage.
