PRACTICAL MATTERS

The charges are all inclusive, including oil central heating and electricity.
On your arrival there will be a ’welcome pack’ of some delicacies.
(with a bottle of wine if you've been before). Linen and duvets are provided, but you should bring your own personal towels.

In Holly Cottage one free basket of logs is provided. You can buy logs locally.
Charcoal an be provided at modest cost for the barbeque.

Both Holly Cottage and the Garden Studio have TV and video player/recorders, digital Freeview for extra channels and quality radio, DVD/CD players
hi fi and a selection of books, guides, maps, games, CDs and videos are also provided.
Holly Cottage and the Garden Studio are non-smoking areas.

We provide leaflets and information on places of interest, both local and further afield.

We are sorry we cannot accommodate dogs. However, there is an excellent kennel 2 miles away that will let you visit your dog and take him for walks in the neighbouring fields.

The owners, Alick & Mari, live in an adjoining cottage. However, both Holly Cottage and the Garden Studio have their own side entrances and are completely self-contained.

Access:
While neither property has certified wheelchair access, we can accommodate a certain level of limited mobility:

HOLLY COTTAGE is entered at ground level. On the ground floor there is a comfortable double sofabed in the living room. The bathroom and kitchen are also on this floor, on a level one step higher. The two double bedrooms are on the first floor, served by relatively steep stairs, with handrail. The conservatory and patio garden are at ground level.

THE GARDEN STUDIO is entered by a short, gently upward sloping path from the road level, with three steps. On the lower floor there is a comfortable double sofabed in the living room. The bathroom and kitchen are also on this floor. The double bedroom is on the first floor, served by quite steep and narrow stairs, with handrails. There are two steps up to the garden level.

Wellow has an excellent pub, The Fox and Badger, which serves good meals and is children friendly.
There is a village shop for groceries; it has a choice of local food, sells high quality cheeses and good wines.
Parking is adjacent to the properties and there are local buses to Wellow and Radstock.
